Cauldron #4 — Baltic Analog Lab
Cauldron é um programa desenvolvido no âmbito do SPECTRAL, no qual a Cooperativa Laia convida um laboratório parceiro internacional para exibir os trabalhos e investigações produzidas no contexto destes espaços dedicados à imagem em movimento em formato analógico e geridos por artistas. Para o Cauldron #4, as artistas Ieva Balode e Sintija Andersone estarão no Porto para exibir obras desenvolvidas no Baltic Analog Lab.
A 07.11.2024, às 19h15, decorre no Batalha Centro de Cinema uma sessão que passará por um conjunto de filmes desenvolvidos por artistas parte do Baltic Analog Lab.
Cauldron is a programme developed within SPECTRAL, in which Laia co-op invites an international partner laboratory to exhibit the works and research produced in the context of these spaces dedicated to moving image in analog format and led by artists. For Cauldron #4, artists Ieva Balode and Sintija Andersone will be in Porto to exhibit works developed at the Baltic Analog Lab.
On 07.11.2024, at 19h15, takes place at Batalha Cinema Center a screening that will pass through a set of films developed by artists part of the Baltic Analog Lab.

Baltic Analog Lab é um coletivo de artistas e laboratório de cinema sediado em Riga, Letónia, fundado em 2016. Reunindo cineastas e fotógrafos interessados em cinema analºogico e fotografia, o Baltic Analog Lab visa produzir, ensinar e inspirar uma audiência, proporcionando um espaço para a criação, a aprendizagem e o ensino. Está equipado para filmar, processar, editar e exibir filmes de 16mm e 8mm, e também para fotografia analógica. O foco principal do laboratório é a educação e a colaboração, que é mantida por oficinas criativas regulares lideradas por membros da BAL e convidados estrangeiros. Inclui ainda exibições de filmes e eventos de cinema expandido. O Baltic Analog Lab é um membro da rede global Filmlabs.org

Baltic Analog Lab is an artist collective and filmlab based in Riga, Latvia, founded in 2016. Uniting filmmakers and photographers interested in analog film and photography, Baltic Analog Lab aims to produce, teach and inspire an audience by providing a space for creation, learning and teaching. It is equipped for filming, processing, editing and screening of 16mm and 8mm film, and also for analog photography. The high focus of the lab is education and collaboration, which is maintained by regular workshops led by BAL members and foreigner guests. It also includes film screenings and expanded cinema events. Baltic Analog Lab is a member of Filmlabs.org global network.
